Post Aruba...

Tough morning for Abby today. Almost 1/2 hour of sobbing in my mom's car before she could calm down to even listen to me. I don't know why my mom and I thought it was a good idea to leave together.

I had to assure her that I wasn't going to a "meeting" and that I'll be back tonight to blow out my birthday candles with her. And also to reassure her that I'm not going so far away. After letting her know that she could call me by asking grandma, it seemed to calm her down.

Once Connor got his water bottle, he didn't really have any clue as to what was going on.

Dinner at Crabhouse

Our first time back since 2001. That was when we were dating, but Paul and Lisa were and engaged and getting married that September.

We went back after 9 years... Engaged, married 7 years, plus two kids later.

Abby's surprise

We were leaving early Thursday (9/16) morning for our flight so the last time I saw them was Wednesday morning when they were still asleep. Dad took the entire week off so spent Monday through Wednesday with Abby.
