Abby's First Visit to Her Future Dentist
DH and I had appointments with our dentist this past Saturday. This was Abby's first visit w/us. Her first appointment will probably be next summer when she turns 3. I shot this video while DH was in with the dentist.

Anna Quindlen Quote
I'm taking it off my sidebar and adding as a post. This quote reminds me to take time to enjoy the present... it's so easy to rush to get things done and miss the everyday simple moments.
Anna Quindlen: ...but the biggest mistake I made is the one that most of us make while doing this. I did not live in the moment enough. This is particularly clear now that the moment is gone, captured only in photographs. There is one picture of the three of them sitting in the grass on a quilt in the shadow of the swing set on a summer day, ages 6, 4, and 1. And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in a hurry to get on to the next things: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less.

Happy Easter!
A friend of mine at work bought these bunny ears for Abby. I realized after taking the pictures that I forgot to take the silly white tag on the the side of the band and the pink paper off from b/w the ears. I tried to take pictures without the tags and paper but Abby was done eating her sunflower seeds and didn't want to take anymore pictures. *sigh*

My first early day...
Today was my first day home with new hours at work. I'm excited. I have some daylight to enjoy w/Abby and she was so excited but confused at the same time when I came to pick her up at great grandma's. I even felt creative enough to think of this bunny and egg picture for easter, but so excited I'm posting it now.
Abby also got a kick out of the camera timer... we have a lot of shots that came out pretty nice since Abby was looking at the camera. =) And the daylight helps too!
This is Abby's very first Easter Bunny ever from Aunt Soeun. Abby used to chew its nose and ears so much that we'd wash this bunny almost every other day! The beauty of this bunny is that you can wash it and dry it in the dryer! Looks brand spankin' new again and again. =

A Picture Taken By Millhouse...
I bought a PS Action Set from Itty Bitty Actions today called 52 Sets. Tried out a few actions on this picture but because I was tinkering, I'm not sure which actions I actually applied. I think it's a great purchase. I'm FREEing myself from stamping a bit (tho not entirely) to focus on taking better pictures and proofing them a bit better. Just need a change. Thanks Millhouse for taking this great shot!

Laughing While Asleep...
I really regret not taking a picture of her yesterday...
I was getting ready for work and Abby was still asleep. All of a sudden, I hear her giggling.
It's that hearty laugh she has when she finds something extremely funny.
She finds the most ordinary things absolutely funny. Then I have to think - this is all new to her. Well, whatever she was dreaming about yesterday morning, she found hilarious. I thought she was awake and I went up to her to greet her good morning... she was still sound asleep.
On another note, I'm teaching her 123's this week. She has an Elmo laptop w/numbers and we covered "1" yesterday. She's familiar with "1". You ask her "Abby met-sahl?" (meaning - How old is Abby?), and she points her index finger in reply. I'm trying very hard to associate that with the number one. The good thing about the Elmo laptop is that it reinforces the numbers you press. You press one, it says, "one". Quite annoying when she presses the keys too fast, as it's Elmo's high pitched voice... "one... one... oneoneoneone..." almost sounds like a DJ scratching his record.
Had a few minutes during lunch to reflect today. Still bothering me that I didn't capture that "moment" on camera. Hopefully this will make me jump to get the camera next time.
